Advocate for Senior Issues in Lansing on May 11!

Good Afternoon,

Older Michiganians Day is a free and open statewide advocacy day for seniors, caregivers and their advocates.  It is May 11 from 10:30 am to 2:00 p.m. and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (as well as the AAA’s in other regions) is currently distributing lunch tickets as well as reserving seats for the bus we will take to Lansing.

I would appreciate it if this event could be shared with the Michigan Alliance to Strengthen Social Security & Medicare.  If any individuals from Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park, Harper Woods or the Grosse Pointes are interested, please have them contact me to coordinate travel.  If they live outside of that area, I can share the information for their region’s AAA for tickets.  Bus seats will be given based on need for transportation and House/Senate district representation.  A flyer with more information is attached to this email and you can find a list of FAQ’s at www.oldermichiganiansday.com.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me via phone or email using the information below.  I hope that you’ll be able to attend and give voice to the issues that are facing seniors and their caregivers in our area.

Best,

Misha
